FAQs

  • Well, we are a bit of both. We call ourselves A Hybrid Property. We offer both Boutique Lodging and Serviced Apartments.

  • We are not an extended stay hotel.

To give you the short answer, a serviced apartment is a fully furnished apartment, available for both short-term and long-term rental, with flexible lease terms, providing amenities for daily use, including housekeeping and utilities, all within the rental price. Whether you’re traveling for work, going on vacation, or relocating to a new city and looking for a like-minded community, we bring together the best elements of home. From the building materials we use to the hand-picked products and furnishing that go into all of our apartments, we hope you feel welcomed and right at home.

  • It’s a property that feels small, intimate and quaint, that stays true to its own culture with intentional design and personalized service. We hope you enjoy your time with us.

  • No need for that! All our apartments are thoughtfully furnished and kitchens are fully equipped, including linens and towels.

  • We have trash and recycling dumpters available at the back of our property.

  • We do have outdoor assigned spaces to park your bike and kayak on a first-come, first-serve basis.

  • We’re so excited you asked! We have an EV Charging Station available for your use in the back parking lot.

  • Our goal while renovating the building and launching this new business model has been to keep harmony with nature by using as many sustainable and eco-friendly elements as possible.

Utilizing our roof surfaces, we installed solar panels to offset the electricity consumption. Our new kitchens have induction cooktops, also limiting the energy consumption. For heating and cooling, we chose Mitsubishi Mini Splits, super energy-efficient systems! We partnered with Cali Bamboo for all our new flooring, used sprayed foam insulation to air seal and maximize the energy efficiency of the building, added BredaBeds to create multi-use spaces, and IKEA wood furniture for our flexible tables and kitchen islands, as well as comforters and mattress covers made from recycled plastic bottles. And finally, when possible during the remodel project, we reused or repurposed materials.

We also offer recycling collection for clean rigid and fiber items. For more information on additional local recycling programs, please visit the Chocolay Township Website:
    https://www.chocolay.org/recycling/recycling.php

Also, our convenient location off the bike path and within walking distance to shopping and the bus stop add some additional options to reduce the impact on the environment!

  • Oh, that’s a tricky question! Marquette, Michigan is beautiful all 4 seasons of the year, and our location is ideal to be a base for many fun things to do and places to explore.

We do offer an amazing Winter Discount for our long-term guests that stay from August until May. Contact our team for more information!

Downhill or cross country skiing, fat tire mountain biking, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling are only a few of the fun things you can do outdoors in the winter. We are centrally located with access to the snowmobile trail that connects with many more in the area.

In the summer, sandy beaches on Lake Superior, as well as hundreds of inland lakes are just a short distance away to enjoy. Miles of hiking and mountain biking in the area make Marquette, Michigan a wonderful summer destination.

The fall colors are something everyone should experience, so even then I would say that’s a great time to visit us!
